SMS Privacy Policy
How Haircutter in the Meadow handles your phone number and message history when you join our text-message program. Last updated October 2026.
This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions, which also set out our SMS Marketing Terms.
- The Program and your consent
Rockstar Follicles LLC and its affiliates (“We” or “Us”) are offering a mobile messaging program (the “Program”). This SMS Privacy Policy applies to the Program. By opting in to or participating in any of our Programs, you consent to this SMS Privacy Policy.
Rockstar Follicles LLC does business as Haircutter in the Meadow. Our Program sends appointment reminders, confirmations, waitlist and cancellation notices, promotional offers and other service messages to guests who have opted in.
- Your privacy and how we use your information
We respect your privacy. No mobile opt-in information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We will use information you provide Us, which includes your phone number and any other personal information you provide (such as name, email, address, etc.) to transmit your mobile messages and respond to you. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing your information with platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist Us in the preparation and delivery of mobile messages. Nonetheless, We reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect Our rights or property.
- The information you give us
When you complete forms online or otherwise provide Us information in connection with the Program, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information. You agree not to use a false or misleading name or a name that you are not authorized to use. If, in Our sole discretion, We believe that any such information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, or you have opted into the Program for an ulterior purpose, We may refuse you access to the Program and pursue any appropriate legal remedies. This Privacy Policy is strictly limited to the Program and has no effect on any other privacy policy(ies) that may govern the relationship between you and Us in other contexts.
- Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to send you messages and to show that you agreed to receive them:
- Your mobile phone number, which you give us when you book, when you sign up at the salon, or when you text a keyword to our number.
- Your name and the details you choose to share with us, such as the services you book or the stylist you prefer.
- A record of your opt-in: the date, time, the number used, and the method or form you opted in through.
- The content of messages you send us, and the delivery records our messaging platform keeps for each message we send you.
- Standard carrier information such as message delivery status, and your current wireless carrier.
- How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Confirm and remind you of your appointments, and to let you know if a stylist becomes available or an appointment is cancelled.
- Answer questions you text us and support the program.
- Send you offers, seasonal promotions and salon news you have agreed to receive.
- Keep a record of your consent and your opt-out requests, as required by law.
- Understand how the program is performing, such as how many messages were delivered.
- Consent
We only send messages to phone numbers whose owners have opted in — by signing up on our website or at the salon, by texting a keyword to our number, or by asking us at your appointment to text you reminders. Consent to receive messages is never a condition of any purchase.
If you signed up using a number that belongs to someone else, please ask the owner to opt in before you use the program. If you are not the owner of a number enrolled in the program, contact us and we will remove it.
- How we share your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
We do share what is needed with the companies that run the program for us: SlickText, our SMS platform provider, which stores your opt-in record and sends and receives messages on our behalf, and your wireless carrier, which delivers the messages. Both are bound by their own terms and by law to use the data only for these purposes.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, such as in response to a valid court order or regulatory request, or to protect our rights or your safety.
- Opting in and opting out
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, REMOVE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPT OUT or ARRET to any message from us and you will be removed from the program; you may receive one final message confirming the removal. Reply HELP for support, or email us at sep8man@hotmail.com.
Opting out stops promotional and reminder messages. It does not stop messages that are necessary to complete an appointment you have already booked, and it does not by itself delete the records we are required to keep.
- Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with how often you visit us and how you interact with the program — appointment-related messages when you book, and occasional promotional messages. We do not charge you for our messages, but message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier.
- How long we keep your information
We keep your opt-in record and message history for as long as you remain in the program and afterwards for the period required to prove consent and to resolve disputes — typically several years from your last message. After that, records are deleted or permanently de-identified.
- How we protect your information
Your information is stored with platform providers that use industry-standard protections such as encrypted connections, access controls and audit logging. We limit access to people at the salon who need it to serve you, and we ask our providers to safeguard the data on the same terms.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take reasonable steps to protect you and we tell you promptly if your information is ever involved in a breach we are required to report.
- Children
The program is intended for people aged 16 and over (18 in some states). We do not knowingly enroll children below that age. If you believe a child has joined the program, contact us and we will remove the number.
- Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may be able to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected or deleted, or ask us not to use it for marketing. Email sep8man@hotmail.com with your request; we may need to confirm your identity before we answer, and we will respond within the time your state law allows.
You can also simply text your phone number to us with a request, or stop receiving marketing messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our program or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page, and material changes will be noted here with a new “last updated” date.
